Yesterday, the junior girls flag football team earned their first win of the season 19-13 over Collingwood. Ariel F. scored the opening td from Lauren K. and Angelica DL added two more including a 40 yard ankle breaker on the ground and a lovely catch and run from Amber L. The D had multiple 3 and outs and an amazing goal line stand with Lyla P., Katie H. and Kylie H. anchoring the middle of the field.

Yesterday the Sr. Girls Flag Football team battled the Collingwood Owls on our home turf.  The game started as a high scoring affair with a scoreline of 13-12 in favour of OSS after 4 drives.  Then both defences settled in to keep it a 1-point game until late in the second half when the OSS offence ran a perfect long drive to score a touchdown and convert.  Collingwood had one more chance to score and our defence completely shut the door just like they did the entire second half.  Final score was 20-12.  Next game is Wednesday at OSS versus Eastview.

Hello book club members! Today is the day we chat about Daughters of the Deer. Meet in room 311; bring your lunch and your deepest insights!

Please dismiss the Jr boys football team at 12:30 today for their game against Nantyr Shores.

Yesterday the Sr. Boys Volleyball team traveled to Bear Creek to play in their first game of the year. We could see some nerves in the first 2 sets, and they didn’t go our way. The nighthawks played some great defence against some strong Bear Creek players in the 3rd set but coming up short. Bear Creek took the match in 3 straight sets. The team looks forward to their match next week against Maple Ridge. GO NIGHTHAWKS!

Congratulations to our OSS Cross Country team for a fantastic performance yesterday at the Sunnidale Meet in Barrie.
