Time is fast approaching towards the deadlines to apply to both Universities (Jan. 15th) and to Colleges (February 1st). We currently have 142 OSS, Gr. 12 students who have already applied!
Soon many will be hearing back from schools and making the decision as to where they will be continuing their post-secondary education adventure. Exciting Times!!!
With all that excitement comes many opportunities for scholarships and Bursaries as well. This Friday, January 12 is the deadline to submit your application for those university bound students who wish to apply for the Schulich (Pronounced "Shoe Lick") Scholarship. Application Forms can be both picked-up and dropped-off in the Guidance Office.
Also, the Canadian Federation of University Women (CFUW) of Orillia, will also soon be accepting applications for their scholarships program. This has historically been a very lucrative program at all 3 of our local High Schools, designed for university bound females to apply for financial assistance towards their university pathway. There will be an alpine ski team meeting today (Wednesday) at lunch in the weight room.
There is a senior girls volleyball practice Wednesday at 2:30 in the small gym.
Attention all grade 12 graduating students. Graduation gowns and caps are available for order on school cash online. The cost is $25 dollars and your order must be in by February 26th. Please see guidance if you have any questions.
