Good Morning Grade 12's,
This is a message to all graduating Grade 12s who attended Coldwater Elementary School prior to coming to OSS. The Ray Tomlinson Bursary from the Coldwater Lion's Club has now finally arrived.
You can pick up the application in the Guidance Office and return it by Friday, June 7. Traditionally, most applications are successful for this Bursary, so don't hesitate if you are a Coldwater Public School grad.
The Envirohawks will be meeting today at the beginning of lunch in room 303.
Congratulations to all visual, craft, and media arts students for an excellent showcase of creations last night at our semi-annual Arts Showcase evening! We hosted hundreds of teachers, parents and friends from the community, celebrating all of your creations.
Special thank-you to our student helpers, mural club, our awesome custodian crew, Ms. Brady, Mrs. Hiekamp, and Ms. Chambers for helping us with tables and set up! We could NOT have done it without you!
A HUGE CONGRATULATIONS to all of the OSS Musicians who performed last evening. Many thanks go to our expert setup crew who were so darn efficient and huge shout outs to the many many musicians who shared their talents with a packed house! Congratulations once again on doing an amazing job – pictures of the evening will be shared soon.
Yesterday, the girls' slo-pitch team took on Twin Lakes in the first round of SCAA playoffs.
After jumping out to a 5-0 lead with great hitting from Emersyn M. and Alisha T., Twin was starting to claw back until Makayla H. blew the game open with a 3 run double in the 5th. Great defence from Kloe N., Victoria S., Kylie H. Sara P. and Raygen H. who also earned the win with a great effort on the mound. The Nighthawks face Eastview in the semi finals next Friday.
Book Club will meet for the last time on Tuesday May 28. Swing on by to room 311 at lunch for some snacks, return all overdue books, and we'll have one last chat about your summer recommended reading for other members. Mrs Williamson would love to see each and every one of you for one. Last. Meeting.
