Yesterday, the girls slo pitch team finished their regular season with a double header against Nouvelle Alliance and Barrie North.  In the first game, the Nighthawks overcame a slow start to cruise to a 12-2 victory.  The offence was led by Home runs from Hayen M., Raygen H. and Hollie T..  The second game was a defensive grind with the lead flipping back and forth causing Mr. Wylie to be a little extra surly on the bench.  Down by 2, Makayla H. (who also pitched a gem) belted a two run double with two outs to tie the game and then scored on a triple from Addi K. to take a one run lead.  Great defence from Emersyn M. Chiara C., Kylie H. and Addi K. helped seal the win and an undefeated regular season. Playoffs begin next week.

Yesterday, the OSS Traditional Jazz Band travelled to York University to participate in Musicfest Nationals.  They wowed the adjudicators with a stellar performance of their three pieces and earned a gold standing!  Their creativity and musicianship showcased their abilities in a way that was very mature and advanced for a high school ensemble.  Ms. Christie is beyond proud of this remarkable group of talented musicians.  Congratulations — you represented OSS and the OSS Music Department extremely well at the national level!

Could members of the Improv Team please meet at the drama room at 11:00 today for a brief meeting.
