Yesterday, the Nighthawk's girls' hockey team faced off against Nantyr Shores in a hard fought game. The girls showed tenacity and never gave up in three periods of intense play. Special shout-out to Ava M. and Juliana V. for stepping up and digging in the corners, and to Bevyn D. for an outstanding performance in net. Best of luck today as the girls travel to Barrie to face Bear Creek.
Yesterday, the Jr. Boys hit the road to Collingwood to take on the reigning Blackball Tournament champions. The game started slow, but in the second half the Nighthawks found their rhythm—rebounding stronger than ever this season and battling hard until the final buzzer.
Though it ended in a tough loss, the team showed resilience and growth that sets the stage for an exciting new year ahead. With more home games on the horizon, the Jr. Boys are ready to keep building momentum and make OSS proud.
The Sr. Boys matchup was much the same—back-and-forth buckets kept the game tight until Collingwood pulled ahead with a significant lead. The Nighthawks fought hard, never backing down, and represented OSS with pride.
