The Senior Girls basketball team continued their winning ways yesterday with a decisive victory over Innisdale. The Nighthawks pushed the pace and ran away from their opponents with a 58 to 31 score. Imagine for a second you are a student during the holidays. You're excited, you get to have a great big dinner with your family, cake, the works. However, as it turns out, the price of food is too expensive. This is sadly a reality for many families in our town, and even for students in our school. Starting Tuesday, you can help people in your community by donating non-perishable items to the Students for Change Fall Food Drive. Get your donations in to your homeroom classroom, in the box we provide.

Hey Nighthawks! Did you know that one of the main uses of Chat GPT and other AI platforms is people seeking mental health information and supports?
When seeking out mental health information, advice, and especially counselling it's important to consider the reputability and training of the company or person providing the advice. In the case of folks asking AI chat bots for mental health advice and support, we are seeing a big uptick in negative mental health outcomes and even psychosis related to AI chat bots mental health advice because AI doesn't yet understand the complexities of mental health.
If you are seeking mental health supports reach out to your guidance counsellor or vice principal, or scan of the QR code posters for Social Work appointments. And always remember that calling 988 is a 24/7 free and confidential support when you are in crisis.
