Attention girls wishing to try out for slo pitch. There will be a tryout for grade nines only, on Wednesday in the gym from 4 to 5:30. It is imperative that you have completed the concussion and blanket athletic forms on school cash online prior to Wednesday.  That's slo pitch tryout for grade nine girls at 4:00 in the gym on Wednesday.   Please bring indoor shoes and a glove. If you have any questions, please see a Wylie. All info related to slo pitch will be posted outside of room 301.

Due to the weather and power disruptions, the deadline for applications for the Orillia Business Women's Young Woman of the Year scholarship has been extended to April 9th. Applications to be the OSS nominee must be in to guidance by 2:30 on Wednesday April 9th.

Due to the storm and power outages, the Canadian Federation of University Women's Scholarship Application deadline has been extended to April 16th.

Model UN is cancelled today, as Mr. Flood is away. We will meet Wednesday at lunch this week, with lots of important stuff to discuss - so be there Wednesday, or reach out to Mr. Flood and let him know you can't make it

The Cafeteria will be closed until tomorrow Tuesday April 8th by second period.

Starting tomorrow, student leaders will be leading smudges for students and staff.

Smudging is a ceremonial practice where sage or sweet grass are burned to help individuals rid of negative energies. So join our student leaders and feel balanced and prepared for the rest of the day.

We are meeting in the Andaayang, which is room 222, tomorrow, between periods 1 and 2 so around 9:20.

"Girls in the Boat" tickets are on sale now. Come watch OSS's school play in the drama room on April 29, 30th and May 1st at 6:30 pm. $10 tickets available at the main office. Buy In tickets available later from Mrs. MacMillan.

Last Monday March 31st was National Indigenous Languages Day. More than 70 distinct Indigenous languages are currently spoken by First Nations, Métis and Inuit people throughout Canada. Take a look around the school at our Ojibwe language signage or drop into the Andaayang over lunch to learn some new words to celebrate our Ojibwe language speakers. Did you know our school offers Ojibwe as a Second Language? No prior knowledge or experienced is required to join this course. Indigenous language learning is for everyone!                                                                                                                                                                                                                  Humans Understanding Gender and Sexuality (also known as HUGS) is meeting today in room 332. HUGS is a group dedicated to providing a safe and inclusive space for 2SLGBT plus students to talk about their lives and other topics.

Did you want to go to Semi?  Couldn't buy a ticket last week because of wifi and power issues?  Well good news, semi formal tickets will continue to be on sale this week on school cash online until Tuesday.  Remember guest forms need to be picked up, filled in and returned to the main office for non-oss students and a valid student card is required.  You may pick up your semi tickets in the main office this week from Monday to Thursday.
