Morning Announcements for November 5, 2024

Semi-formal tickets are available starting today at lunch only.  Please be patient as there are a number of tickets to be handed out. 

Just a reminder that a purchased student ID or proof of purchase of student ID is mandatory to pick up your semi-formal ticket.

Tickets are available for pick up at lunch time only!

Could all the Students who went on the Juno Beach Trip last June, and who are helping out with remembrance day, please come to room 337 at the start of lunch for a brief meeting?

All members of the hand drum group interested in participating in the Remembrance day ceremony are asked to meet in the Andaayaang, room 222, today during lunch.

Attention all Jr. girls interested in playing volleyball. There will be a brief meeting this Wednesday at lunch in the small gym.

The Senior Girls Basketball team played in the semifinals yesterday. The Nighthawks put forth a great effort and executed some strong defense against first place, Mapleridge. Unfortunately, the Hawks weren't able to match the speed of their opponents and lost a well-played game. Coach Young and Coach Young are very proud of all of their hard work this year. Congratulations to our graduating players, Carys and Jorja. We look forward to next season. Go Hawks!!!!

Grade 12's interested in applying to be the OSS nominee for the Queens Chancellor's scholarship are reminded that applications can be picked up in guidance and are due back by November 13th.

There will be a boys' hockey information session on Wednesday at the beginning of lunch in room 134. If you missed the first meeting, please also come to this one.

Any grade 11 or 12 girls interested in playing senior girls volleyball this year, there will be a meeting at lunch in room 125 today.

Attention Envirohawks: There will be a brief mandatory meeting today right at the beginning of lunch to ensure members are ready for tomorrow's waste visits. If everyone attends at the beginning the meeting will be less than 5 minutes.

Hey OSS! Do you play an instrument? Do you like to sing? OSS is hosting an Open Mic Night on November 28th! If you’d like to join, scan the qr code in the music room or on the bulletin board in the foyer, and submit a video of your performance before November 12th!

Book club will meet today at lunch in room 311. We will be discussing I Only Read Murder, and we can select our November read together. If you haven't had a chance to get through the novel, no problem. Come by anyway for the delightful company!
