Use of the library at lunch: Due to the amount of garbage found in the library over the last few weeks, food will no longer be allowed in the library. Please make use of the cafeteria to eat your lunch, and remember to take a moment to put your garbage and recycling in the provided bins.

The Senior Girls Basketball season came to an end on Friday in the SCAA Championship Game. The girls played valiantly, but lost to Eastview in a close contest.
Ms. Guthrie and Mr. Young would like to thank all of the girls for their dedication in what turned out to be an incredible season together. Their final record was 13 wins against only 6 losses. They were the league runner up despite being the youngest and smallest team in Simcoe County. The coaches couldn't be more proud of this amazing group.
Book club will meet Thursday to discuss Watney's duct tape and potato skills in The Martian on Thursday in room 311 at lunch.
Hopefully the new November novel The House of the Gerulian Sea will be available for pick up!

Elder John Rice will be coming to OSS this Friday November 10th from 9:30am to 10:30am and providing discussions in the OSS Library about the importance of Treaties.
This Wednesday, November 8th is Indigenous Veteran's Day.
The Day will be acknowledged on November 8th in the OSS Library from 9:30am to 10:30am to honour our Indigenous veterans who served.
In addition, Elder Jeff Monague will be coming to OSS on Monday November 13th from 12:00pm to 1:00pm in the OSS Library to share his experiences as an Indigenous Veteran.

Metis Knowledge Keeper, Scott Carpenter will be at OSS on November 15 from 9:30am to 10:30am in the OSS Library providing an opportunity to learn about who Metis people are and to learn about Metis culture.
