Last Friday, the Jr boys football team travelled to Nantyr Shores Secondary School for their first road game of the season. In a hard fought game, neither team was able to gain the advantage until late in the 3rd quarter when quarterback Noah B. scored a touchdown on a 30 yard run to score the first points of the game. The defence was dominant the rest of the game with a standout performance from Ryland M.M.  who had several big hits and tackles for loss. Special mention also goes to Vecasio B. and Naythyn W. who had several strong punt and pick returns throughout the game. Next action is this Thursday at Eastview.

The Senior Girls Basketball team enjoyed a positive weekend of play at this past weekend's Blackball tournament.

The Hawks opened the tournament with a gritty 1 point win over Governor Simcoe from St. Catherines. The nail biter set the table for a strong weekend of learning for the team. Unfortunately, the second game was a tight loss to the girls from Patrick Fogarty. However, the Nighthawks rebounded with an impressive 6 point win over a strong St Mary's team from Sault Ste. Marie. Finishing the weekend with a 2-1 record. Those wins push the squad to a 5 and 3 record overall in the season.

Thanks to all the amazing volunteers who worked the table throughout the weekend. The team really appreciates the effort of our incredible scoring crew!
