Morning Announcements for April 5, 2023
Posted on 04/05/2023
Today for women’s week we are focusing on healthy body image and body positivity.
How we feel about our bodies definitely impacts our physical and mental health. Women and girls are bombarded with false, unrealistic media images of what is beautiful. In truth, there is nothing more rare, nor more beautiful, than a woman being unapologetically herself. Confidence really is the best thing we can wear!
Let's reject visual reminders of what a woman should look like and celebrate our uniqueness in all our forms. Come to the foyer today at lunch to learn more. Remember that loving yourself is our greatest, most beautiful revolution and, gals, you are perfect just the way you are.
This is a reminder that tomorrow after school we will be holding our second Ultimate Frisbee tryout tomorrow after school at 2:30 in the large gym. Any questions please see Mr. Norman in office room 251 beside the main forum at lunch.
Attention grade 12 graduating students:
The latest edition of the scholarship report is out. Check your school email or stop in to guidance to pick up a hardcopy to see if there are any scholarships you are interested in applying for.
Hey OSS the clothing swap is officially running! There is a table with all available clothes in the foyer, outside the library. Feel free to browse and take some new clothing!
Mural club today at lunch in 322! All welcome! See Ms Cooper-Wagner or Ms Dunn for more info.
Students who are part of the Arts & Culture SHSM are reminded that permission forms are due ASAP for our field trip to the radio station on Tuesday … please submit to Mrs Matthie BY THURSDAY
Book club members. Are you out there? Come to room 311 tomorrow at lunch to pick up Eleanor and Park and discuss the April reading schedule. Book club. Thursday. Lunch. Books.
